Dynamic Nature के कारण IOT बिभिन्न अबस्थाओं के अनुसार set की गई condition के आधार पर ही adaption तथा respond करता है | जैसे :
किसी भी प्रकार के dyanamic बदलाब जैसे, user के data context में बदलाब या फिर environment , temperature के according A.C का state change होना | location के according आपको traffic की जानकारी देना आदि में होने बाले changes को सभी IOT devices के द्वारा अपने आप ही adapt कर लीया जाता है |
यह adaption , device में set की गई operating condition के आधार पर होता है |

2 Self Configuring:
IOT में बहुत ज्यादा मात्रा में device एक साथ आपस में connect होके कार्य करती है | ये सभी devices, self configure होने की क्षमता रखती है |
अतः smart और compatible device का use connectivity में किया जाता है |
जैसे: setup the networking ,fetch latest software upgrades with minimum manual or user intervention.
3 Inter-operable Communication Protocol:
IOT ऐसे कई communication protocol को support करती है जो एक device से दूसरी device को तथा devices को infrastructure से communicate कराने में सक्षम होते है |
4 Unique Identity(UI ):
IOT के जरीए जुडी हुई सभी devices को अपनी एक unique identity बनाने की क्षमता प्राप्त होती है | uniquely identity एक intelligent interface प्रदान करती है ,जिससे communication तथा controlling easy हो जाती है |
सभी devices की अपनी unique identity होने के कई advantage है , जैसे :
a. UI के माध्यम से user , device के लिए query कर सकता है |
b device के status को monitor किया जा सकता है |
c. Devices को दूर से control किया जा सकता है |
5 Integrated into Information Network :
IOT , information network के साथ integrated होके ,devices के बीच में communication allow करने में सक्षम है | जैसे : weather monitoring में data कई devices से aggregate तथा analysis होके , weather को predict किया जाता है |
6 Enormous Scale :
Scientist report के अनुसार 2020 तक 8 billion , devices Internet of thing के जरिये connect हो सकती हे | इतनी device का data manage करना एक कठीन कार्य है , परन्तु IOT के द्वारा ये कार्य सरलता से संभव हो जाता है|
